Atessa Hoomani

Atessa graduated from Kingston University in 2004, where she received a degree in Psychology and Theatre Studies. After university she moved to New York where she worked at a post-production house, Creative Group Inc, before becoming Production Manager at the sister production company Moe Greene Entertainment.  Amongst her various roles at Moe Greene Entertainment, both technical and administrative, she production managed programs for Fangoria Entertainment, A&E, Main Event, Cartoon Network and ESPN. She then moved back to London and joined Tigerlily Films in June 2008.  The two main projects she worked on closely that year were Beadie Finzi’s feature length documentary ONLY WHEN I DANCE and Xiaolu Guo’s feature SHE, A CHINESE. She then went on to work on artist Omer Fast’s art installation film NOSTALGIA where she was both one of the assistant directors and camera operators. She has recently returned from filming in South Africa, co-producing and co-directing her first feature length documentary, SHOSHOLOZA:MOVING FORWARD, set around the first ever Street Child World Cup.
